Lazada Philippines is an online shopping website from Rocket Internet GmbH, which is an international online business incubator established in 1999; founded by the Samwer Brothers namely Alexander, Arnold Kiaki and Oliver. Said to be a clone of Amazon.com, Lazada is the brainchild of Rocket's CEO Maximilian Bittner, a Rocket protégé who started off with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and History at the University College London, followed by an analyst position at Morgan Stanley, an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, and five years at McKinsey & Company.
