application softwareApplication software (APPs) is a defined subclass of computer software that employs the capabilities of a computer directly to a task that the user wishes to perform.

It is a program or group of programs designed for end users. These programs are divided into two classes: application and system software. While system software consists of low-level programs that interact with computers at a basic level, apps resides above system software and includes database programs, word processors, spreadsheets, etc. Apps may be grouped along with system software or published alone.

APPs is computer software designed to help the user to perform singular or multiple related specific tasks. They act as instructions which direct the hardware to perform specific functions and examples of such include point-of-sale systems, accounting software, office suites, graphics software and media players.

And I am doing application software development since 1992.
